New ministers can make all the difference for seniors, writes Cassista

Letter to Editor -- King County Record - Published Tuesday August 4th, 2009

I want to share how touched and moved I was, when I visited a senior in a Moncton hospital who unfortunately had to use the ambulance service.

Her first question to me was: ‘When will the ambulance increase take effect? She felt relieved when I said July 1. She looked at her daughter who was visiting and said, ‘We made it, dear. Otherwise, I don't know what we would have done.'

These kinds' of comments will be more prevalent as seniors think twice before making the call for medical assistance.
