She was quickly called to task, not by government MLAs but in a letter to this paper by a former president of the Coalition for Seniors who pointed out that when Ms. Dube was a minister he met with her and urged her to address the cost of care and the assets issue. He says he was ignored.
Similarly Cecile Cassista of the Coalition for Seniors and Nursing Home Residents' Rights had only one concern about the announcement last week of a $400 million investment in nursing home infrastructure.
"I don't see a vision as to whether this will be carried on if there is a change in government," Ms. Cassista said.
That lack of vision on all matters should be a concern to all New Brunswickers, but the Opposition vision for seniors is a particular concern.
