NB focusing on prevention to curb costs - (Fredericton Daily Gleaner, Dec. 26)

New Brunswick Health Minister Mary Schryer wants to put more emphasis on prevention. “The focus of health has always been on hospitalization and equipment, and I’d like to see a little bit of a shift start to happen towards strangling the demand for health care,” she told the Fredericton Daily Gleaner. She indicated that the province will be putting a priority on funding programs promoting wellness.
