Helping seniors stay in their homes as long as possible is the only practical and affordable way to handle the impending aging of the baby boomer population in Atlantic Canada, said Kathleen Cruttenden, an adjunct professor in the faculty of nursing at the University of New Brunswick and one of the people involved in the study.
