Robert Goguen has a scheduling conflict which will keep him from April 20 event
While the organizers of a local candidates debate are unhappy the Conservative candidate won't attend, Robert Goguen says he simply can't be in two places at once."It's not for lack of wanting to debate, but I regretfully have not been able to find how to split myself in two," says the Conservative candidate for Moncton-Riverview-Dieppe.
Cecile Cassista, executive director of the Coalition for Seniors and Nursing Home Residents' Rights, and Rev. Steve Berube, of St Paul's United Church in Riverview, sent out a news release expressing disappointment that Goguen turned down the opportunity to attend a debate at the church the evening of April 20.
It said the other three candidates in the riding agreed to participate in the debate, which will focus on poverty-related issues and take questions from the public.
