Cohousing trend puts seniors in control - Published Monday December 28th, 2009

In New Brunswick, there are a few similar developments in place or underway. In Moncton, the development arm of Coop Atlantic built People's Park Tower and Camden Park Terrace.

Another development is underway in Oromocto. The idea of cohousing is not to have affordable housing, necessarily, but it often turns out to be less expensive than having people live in their own homes.

In the U.S., there is usually no government money involved in the developments, but in Europe there is sometimes support from governments.
