Pilot project increases one-on-one care at five nursing homes - Published Friday December 18th, 2009

Michael Keating, executive director of the New Brunswick Association of Nursing Homes, said he was supportive of the pilot project because it would provide a greater analysis of how much work should be carried out by certain staff.

Keating said he didn't think it would be difficult to hire extra staff needed in the province to carry out new time requirements, although he admitted the hiring market for nurses is very competitive.
Keating said the new level of care requirements would have a positive effect on how entire facilities operate.
