Coalition  continues to meet with candidates to educate them on seniors issues. The group has developed a ten point vision for seniors and is lobbying as many politicians as they can in this up coming election.

The Coalition was formed in 2004 as a result of the government practice of seizing senior's assets in order to pay for nursing homes costs. On day one in 2006 of the Liberal government's mandate assets were no longer considered when calculating  residents' contribution to the cost of their care.
