 Dear Premier Blaine Higgs

 Re: High- Dose Vaccination

On behalf of the Coalition for Seniors and Nursing Home Residents’ Rights, I write as a follow up  regarding your commitment during the election campaign that if re- elected the government will implement the high - dose flu vaccination for citizens over the age of 65. You further confirmed your position when we met in Riverview on September 8, 2020.

As articulated in your press release on September 16, 2020, in Perth Andover, “Getting the flu vaccine is more important than ever to protect ourselves and the people around us from the flu and as well help reduce the strain on our health care system in light of the COVID pandemic.”

We are given to understand a meeting between the Federal Government and the Provinces urging them to get their volume and order in for 2021 since there is a global demand for the high dose vaccine. Can you confirm as to whether New Brunswick has placed their order for the high-dose vaccine?

Will the government undertake to commit and ensure that all New Brunswickers for 2021 be provided with the high-dose vaccine committed during the election campaign?

I look forward to your earliest response in this regard.

 Regards.
